Early in the morning, you will leave to reach Tanzania's most famous park: the
Serengeti.
(Approximate time Manyara•Serengeti transfer: 4 hrs) During the transfer you will have a chance to admire, as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the dense forest of tall trees and the vastness of the crater from above. As you progress toward the Serengeti, you will understand why the name means, in the local language, "endless plain." The Serengeti is considered the most famous national park in the world, the cradle of the Great Migration, where one of the most impressive natural cycles on the planet is renewed every year: tens of thousands of ungulates move, driven by the primal instinct to survive, in constant search of new pastures. The landscape, dotted with large acacias and Kopjes (ancient rock piles), is an ideal habitat for big cats. The safari will end in the afternoon with a transfer to Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay within the park.
The next two days will be devoted to exploring the Seronera Valley. Along the banks of the river of the same name, you will have the chance to see leopards climbing the sausage trees, observe the numerous herds of lions on the Moru kopjes and, with luck, even spot a black rhino. You can, finally, get out of the car at the famous hippo pool and get close to the pool to peer at the many hippos huddled there.
During your stay you will experience lunch or dinner in the bush rather than sipping cocktails on the camp's spectacular raised platform.
Depending on your preferences, you can agree with your guide on some options for structuring your days. You can choose to spend the entire day immersed in the park enjoying a picnic lunch in front of spectacular scenery or return to the camp for lunch and to enjoy some free time between morning and afternoon safaris.
