CHARMING TOUR ITINERARY

Upon arriving at Kilimanjaro (or Arusha) airport, just outside the main exit, you will be met by our guide who will take you to your Lodge in Arusha.
If you have time available, you can take a tour of the city, accompanied by our guide. Alternatively, relax at the hotel with dinner and overnight stay.

Depart early in the morning to cross the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park, where you will take the day safari. (Approximate transfer time Arusha•Manyara: 2 hrs 30 mins) Lake Manyara is one of the smallest parks in Tanzania (330 sq. km), but it has much to offer. The lake and the surrounding area constitute an ecosystem renowned for its wealth of plant and animal species. The vegetation is very diverse, with areas of evergreen forests, stretches of savanna, swamps and hot springs (Maji Moto). Wildlife includes numerous elephants, baboons, wildebeests, zebras, giraffes, hippos, large flocks of pink flamingos and other species. The park is also home to leopards, hyenas and the famous Manyara lions, which have, in this area, a habit of climbing trees. At the end of the game drive transfer to Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

After dinner, you will participate in a night game drive in a jeep equipped with powerful headlights called "spots" for night vision. This type of safari is ideal for witnessing hunting scenes and spotting some of the more "shy" animals that are difficult to spot during the day, such as leopards.

Early in the morning, you will leave to reach Tanzania's most famous park: the Serengeti. (Approximate transfer time Manyara•Serengeti: 4 hrs) During the transfer, you will have a chance to admire, as you pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the dense forest of tall trees and the vastness of the crater from above. As you progress toward the Serengeti, you will understand why the name means, in the local language, "endless plain." The Serengeti is considered the world's most famous national park, the cradle of the Great Migration, where one of the most impressive natural cycles on the planet is renewed each year: tens of thousands of ungulates move, driven by the primal instinct to survive, in constant search of new pastures. The landscape, dotted with large acacias and Kopjes (ancient rock piles), is an ideal habitat for big cats. The safari will end in the afternoon with transfer to Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay within the park.

Today will begin at sunrise with an experience that will remain in your heart. You will watch the sunrise over the savannah with a fantastic hot air balloon ride. The bird's-eye view of this ecosystem, is a romantic and evocative way to experience the East African wilderness by flying over the expansive plains filled with abundant herds of wildlife. After the flight is over, a hearty breakfast will be served on the savannah. This fantastic day will continue exploring the park where there will be no shortage of opportunities for sightings of giraffe and elephant families, the large herds of lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, and smaller ones such as foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, along with more than 500 species of birds. The safari will end in the afternoon with a return to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Early in the morning, immediately after breakfast, you will begin the game drive leaving the Serengeti to reach the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, declared a WORLD HERITAGE OF HUMANITY (UNESCO 1978) AND INTERNATIONAL BIOSPHERE RESERVE (1981). (Approximate transfer time Serengeti•Ngorongoro Conservation Area: 2 hrs 30 mins) The area has become a true ecosystem, thanks to good rainfall, ponds, small inland lakes and streams, and night fog that surrounds and feeds the forests on the slopes of its famous crater. The safari will continue by descending to the bottom of the caldera for an entire afternoon dedicated to discovering one of the most beautiful places on Earth, where nature is sovereign and "unchanged by time." The 264-square-kilometer caldera has the highest concentration of wildlife on the continent. It is one of the very rare places where black rhino can be encountered. In the late afternoon we will drive up the crater to leave the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with transfer to Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay in Karatu. (Approximate transfer time Ngorongoro Crater•Karatu: 1 hr 30 mins)

Early in the morning, after a good breakfast, you will depart for Tarangire National Park, during the transfer you will have the opportunity to stop for shopping and gifts at local bazaars. (Approximate transfer time Ngorongoro•Tarangire: 3 hrs) Tarangire Park, dotted with huge baobabs, covers an area of 2850 sq. km and includes the Tarangire River, where immense herds of zebra, wildebeest, oryx, water antelope, lesser kudu, giraffe, buffalo and their natural predators such as lions, leopards and wild dogs congregate, especially during the dry season. Tarangire is also known to have the highest concentration of elephants in the world and is considered by many to be the best destination in Tanzania for birdwatchers: more than 450 species of birds can be spotted there. The safari will continue in the afternoon with transfer to Lodge/Tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.

In the morning, a professional ranger will take you on a walking safari through the park's vast expanses of baobab and acacia trees, discovering wonderful details of nature that are difficult to capture on jeep safari. This type of safari allows you to establish much more direct contact with nature. You learn to recognize animal tracks, from footprints to droppings from which you learn so much about their habits and needs. You focus on plants, each of which has formidable properties and realize how important nature is and gives us all the means to live and survive even in hostile environments.
You will return to the Lodge/Tented Camp for lunch and, after a relaxing break, continue the game drive exploring the park. The safari will end in the afternoon with a return to the Lodge/Tented Camp for dinner and overnight stay.

The morning will be devoted to game drives in the park, and after lunch you will return to Arusha/Kilimanjaro to catch your return flight.
