Serengeti Simba Lodge is a comfortable lodge located just outside the Serengeti National Park. The lodge is located on a hill overlooking the Grumeti River, with sweeping views of the endless plains. The Great Migration passes through the lodge twice a year, around June-July and again in October, when millions of ungulates make their annual journey through the Serengeti ecosystem. The fifteen uniquely designed tents are actually a hybrid, with all the romance of a tent but the security of a more permanent structure; using canvas in the construction, but built on solid stone foundations with thatched roofs, attached concrete bathrooms and outdoor showers as well as a private terrace. The common area of the lodge (reception, bar, dining room and pool) is built around a 'kopje' providing an unusual and natural backdrop.
